Blowing Tears

The wind it blows today,
shattering my tears, washing
away my freedom and reviving
all my fears.
This melancholy madness I’ve
felt once before, at a time when
sickness and sorrow watched silently
at my door.
Have you seen the reaper raise his
ghastly head? Have you asked him
where he’s going, have you inquired
if I’m dead?
The wind it blows today,
shattering my tears, washing
away my freedom and reviving
tormented years.

  2. I probably should have died many times over but it has always made me thankful for the days after. Sometimes there is no rhyme or reason to it . All I know for sure is that when time is up …that is when I will go and not one second sooner.
But that old wind doesn’t care who or what it hurts it just wants its way and its going to blow by even if it has to blow through rock. Time is always on its side and so it gets to stay long after we are gone.
Your words made me think of these things.

I like this. I see in you life and turmoil then fear ? Write a lot more.

  4. Perfect image and with words like “Have you seen the reaper raise his
ghastly head? ” you have created a vivid thought. Thanks for sharing… I like it.
